In this Knowledge-based era of post-industrialism
Education must change

Kidults, in the very accessible ocean of information, need not more books and boring lessons
But a vision of humanities
An agile, transgressive kind of knowledge and wisdon
An ability in using words, pictures and different media to communicate with people
Independent, imaginative and critical thinking
Confidence and positive and delightful mentality
Versatile learning and experimental sprit

Tolerance, respect, acceptance of diversities and a willingness to become a responsible world citizen

It is an era to embrace change, and not to complain

Cultural and educational communities need to coordinate efforts to respond to complex social issues, to support social innovation, to transgress different paradigms, to link up people with a heart of gold, to formulate new strategies, to think about how education can change

This is the mission of Hong Kong Institute of Contemporary Culture
