Create! Social Enterprise Showcase

With the support of the Seoul Metropolitan Government, the Ministry of Labor, the Work Together Foundation, and others, the haja Center’s social enterprise project began at the end of last year under the name “Create! Social Enterprise Project NOW!” haja Center’s ten unique developing social enterprise teams, which gather young artists and specialists in storytelling, English, filmmaking, performance, travel and other cultural modalities, will operate exhibition booths to present their results thus far.

In particular, they will publicly present the videos, performances, and results from the “Now Start 2009” education welfare program run by the Seoul Metropolitan Government from March 16 to May 31 this year. “Now Start 2009” is a project that provides, through one-on-one interviews, an individualized education welfare service for children not under the protection of families.
○ An imagination market composed of ten developing cultural and social enterprise teams.
○ There will be a presentation show, and networking booths.
○ There will be a presentation of the results from the 2009 Seoul Metropolitan Government’s “Now Start 2009” program and other experimental works.

[Bookteller’s Quilt]

A storyteller who can tell a story with hundreds of emotion

Bookteller’s Quilt has three core business activities: training story tellers who can tell their own stories to others in a communicable interactive way, book playing workshops in which children act out stories to promote the growth of body and mind, and book performances through which the audience can physically experience a story.

showcase / Bookteller’s Quilt will give a book performance in which kids act out a book with all their senses and expand reading to a synthetic experience.

Three Grains of Beans plans to share organic agricultural products, kids’ ecological farm stays, a warm neighborhood festival, cultural programs, book publishing and film making.

Current commercial moviemakers deliver human and technological knowledge and wisdom to produce a documentary film. This nascent social enterprise encourages teenagers to attain the positive energy of life and realize their dreams by expressing themselves through visual medium.
